Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your note of the 21st instant, in which you request that the proper authorities of San Pedro, Cal., be requested to arrange to defeat the maneuvers of the Magonist Junta at Los Angeles toward sending expeditions from that place to Lower California.

In reply I have the honor to inform you that the Department of Justice has been requested to take appropriate action in regard to the matter.
