(Mr. Eddy reports that he has called the attention of the Turkish minister for foreign affairs most urgently to the matter of the abduction of Miss Stone; that the minister admits the responsibility of his Government for the safety of Miss Stone and for the ransom. Mr. Eddy is convinced that the Turkish Government is doing all it can in the matter; he states that Mr. Dickinson is at Sofia, and will use every effort there; that the British embassy is rendering great assistance, and that he is to have an immediate consultation with the Russian ambassador.)
