Sir: Kef erring once more to your note of the 22d of last December, I have now the honor to inform you that the governor of California has written me that he has again called the attention of the local authorities at San Francisco to the violations of the Franco-American consular convention of 1853, with a view that no future causes for such complaints as were contained in your note may arise.
