199. Editorial Note

The Protocol for the Prolongation of the International Sugar Agreement of 1958 was completed in London on August 1, 1963. The United States signed it on September 27. The Senate gave its advice and consent to ratification on January 30, 1964, and the Protocol entered into force for the United States on February 27. According to the Protocol, the International Sugar Agreement would remain in effect until December 31, 1965, unless a new agreement had been negotiated before that date.
