HO–12. Editorial Note
In an exchange of notes between Ambassador Robert Newbegin, and Andrés Alvarado Puerto, the Honduran Minister of Foreign Affairs, on April 22, and May 20, 1960, respectively, the United States Government informed the Republic of Honduras of its desire to amend and to extend for an additional period of time beginning on March 6, 1958, the United States Army and Air Force Mission agreements of March 6, 1950 (1 UST 199). Alvarado accepted the American proposals, and the agreement entered into force on May 20, 1960, retroactive to March 6, 1958. For the texts of the notes exchanged, see 11 UST (pt. 2) 1507.
