1. The cumulative results of the screening operation as of 2400, 11 Apr 52 are: Read in 3 cols, col 1 total screened, col 2 total to return to Communist control, col 3 total indicating they would forcibly resist repatriation. [Page 144]

2. As a result of the screening completed in opn Scatter to date approximately 44,000 North Koreans, South Koreans and CIs have either refused screening or are in compounds where prisoners representatives object to their compounds being subjected to screening. In addition, some 12,000 POWs and CIs in the hospital area in camp nr 10, Pusan, have not been screened.

3. To determine a reliable round number and accurate rosters for submission to the Communists, a plan for screening or otherwise designating those POWs and CIs mentioned in para 2 above is being developed.
