Editorial Note
On April 18, 1952, delegations representing the United States and Venezuela initiated a series of meetings at Caracas for the purpose of negotiating revision of the Reciprocal Trade Agreement in effect between the two countries since 1939. For a list of the United States negotiators, see the press release printed in Department of State Bulletin, April 21, 1952, page 631. Periodic progress reports on the negotiations were transmitted to the Department of State as Embassy despatches; these are in Department of State file 411.3131 for 1952.
