5. Embtel 3733 June 29 repeated Paris, The Hague and Brussels.1 It was suggested to Tomlinson Foreign Office, this morning that in view favorable response France, Belgium and Netherlands there appeared to be no obstacles to immediate application export controls to China and North Korea.
Tomlinson, after consultation by telephone with British missions concerned, has arranged for Colonial Office to ask Hong Kong and Singapore apply controls immediately. Controls already in force in UK.
