831. Dept today approved Army appointment Major General Vernon Evans succeed Major General Robert W. Grow as Chief US Military Mission with Iranian Army. Obtain Iranian Govt clearance his appointment. Arrangements have been made permitting Evens’ arrival Tehran betn Sept. 15 and Sept. 20.
