The Department of State to the British Embassy
The aide-mémoire 72 of His Excellency the British Ambassador conveying the suggestion of the British Government with respect to publicity for the recommendations of the report of Mr. Pauley to the President has been noted and conveyed to the persons directly concerned.
No final position on Japanese reparations policies will be announced by the United States Government without prior discussion with the various other interested Governments. The early receipt of the observations of the British Government will be welcomed.
