9945. Urtel 11597 Nov 5.¹¹ Brit Embassy has again raised question of AMG in Bolzano. After further consideration Dept has decided in view of delay in handback of other provinces and especially in view of delay on Ital peace treaty that Bolzano should be returned to Ital administration simultaneously with other northern provinces, such return to be without prejudice to final peace settlement. Pls inform FornOff. Sent to London, rptd to Caserta.
