The Argentine Foreign Office has just issued a communiqué stating that “under the circumstances and much against its wishes” it has instructed the Argentine representative to the Political Defense Committee in Montevideo to inform the Committee that “the Argentine Republic has been placed in a position of having to withdraw from said organization.”
