553. For Knapp from Sanders. Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Paraguay notified Committee that they have recognized the Velazco Ibarra government56 after consultation pursuant to Resolution XXII. In addition to information conveyed to Guani personally pursuant to Department’s 330, of June 30 [8], I suggest that official notification of United States recognition be sent direct to Committee.57 [Sanders.]
