You are authorized to acknowledge receipt on May 16 in appropriate terms of the note transcribed in your telegram no. 164 of May 12, thereby showing the purpose of this Government to continue normal diplomatic relations with the incoming Salvadoran administration. A circular telegram is being addressed to the missions in [Page 1101] the other American Republics30 informing them of this and instructing them to inform the governments to which they are accredited of this Government’s intention.
