Last week British Embassy here submitted memorandum detailing recent and prospective steps being taken by your British colleague with respect to chrome and requested, if Department agreed, that you be similarly instructed. Department replied that you were fully aware of importance attached to chrome and amply authorized to support your British colleague at all times in manner in your joint judgment deemed most effective.
