Memorandum of Telephone Conversation, by the Secretary of State
[Washington,] December 30,
1944.
Lord Halifax telephoned me this morning and during the course of our conversation I mentioned to him the disappointment which we had felt to learn that the British Minister to Saudi Arabia, Mr. [Page 760] Jordan, had been returned to his post.90 The Ambassador seemed to understand and asked if I would leave it in his hands.
