2646. For Sayre²¹ from Lehman. Jackson advised Gore-Booth that proposed $2,500,000 fund was assumed by us to be used for the movement of refugees from Spain to other countries. This proposal was originally put forth by Long²² and Gore-Booth was advised to consult Brandt, since question of movement of refugees being handled by that office instead of O.F.R.R.O.²³ We believe that consideration of the establishment of any such fund should be discussed by Bermuda Conference.
