761. Your 1233, July 14, 5 p.m. You are requested to inform the Chargé at Jidda that the Department instructs him to approach the Saudi Arabian Government in accordance with your recommendations.
War Department is being informed of your telegram under reference, and of the present instructions.
Casoc estimates the value of British assistance to Saudi Arabia this year at nearly 4 million pounds sterling and states that the Company is furnishing 3 million dollars at the rate of 500,000 every 2 months.
