Department’s telegram no. 211, August 29, 9 [4] p.m. I have received today a note from the Liberian Secretary of State confirming the agreement for acquisition of British current coin in Liberia in exchange for United States current coin as contained in the Department’s telegram No. 187, August 3, 8 p.m. The note is the same as the previous one except that paragraph 3 has been omitted at my request in accordance with the Treasury’s wishes. See my despatch no. 779 of August 29 [25].75
