Please telegraph what measures can in your opinion be taken to exercise censorship in Liberia regarding present [Page 369] and future plans and operations of American forces, including particularly activities at the airport. War Department understands that Associated Press maintains a correspondent in Monrovia, believed to be the wife of a Firestone employee.
You may in your discretion discuss this subject with President Barclay.
