127. Your 478, November 23 and 481, November 25.94 Department desires you to reopen office at once. You will of course appreciate [Page 472] the necessity of the Consulate functioning smoothly at this time. You should make every effort to adjust locally any problems or difficulties which may have arisen as to your position during the last few weeks, and to maintain satisfactory relations with the constituted authorities of French West Africa.
