During air raid on Chungking between hours of 7 and 11 on evening of June 5 Japanese planes also dropped bombs on south bank, one or more of which landed about 400 yards behind Chancery while others hit sand bar on foreshore about 400 yards from residence occupied by members of Embassy staff causing slight damage from fallen plaster.
