368. Your 650, June 4. There is no provision of American law prohibiting the enlistment in China of American citizens in the armed forces of Great Britain. However attention is called to provisions of section 401 (b) and (c) Nationality Act of 1940.13 American citizens enlisted in armed forces of Great Britain who proceed through combat areas violate section 3 of the Neutrality Act; also section 5 if they proceed on a belligerent vessel.
