317. The entire Bulgarian press controlled and censored by the Government is rabidly pro-German. In spite of increasingly bitter articles against our country there is as yet no visible evidence of ill will toward America on the part of the people. There remains still a strong memory of all the good deeds of America and Americans for Bulgaria.
However, with a steady increase in the number and intensity of these press attacks on us an effect on the people must ultimately occur.
