1862. With reference to informal proposal regarding chrome ore reported in Embassy’s 1781, June 22, 3 p.m.,3 official of the Ministry of Economic Warfare has written indicating he has discussed the matter with his superiors and stating that “the general idea that we should be glad to cooperate with you in working out some solution to the Turkish problem has met with their approval and I am therefore at your disposal if you want to pursue the matter further”.
