The Acting Secretary of State to the British Ambassador ( Lothian )
The Acting Secretary of State presents his compliments to His Excellency the British Ambassador and has the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Lord Lothian’s note of July 13, 1940,23 with further reference to the dissolution of the Anglo-French Purchasing Board in the United States.
Lord Lothian may rest assured that this Government will continue to extend to Mr. Arthur B. Purvis, in his new capacity as Director-General of the British Purchasing Commission, the same facilities which were extended to him as Chairman of the Anglo-French Purchasing Board.
