The Minister in Yugoslavia (Lane) to the Secretary of State

321. My 184, July 6.25 Minister of Finance Šutej26 said to me this morning that in accordance with instructions which he received from the Prince Regent he wished to recommence negotiation for the granting of credit $500,000 from the Export-Import Bank for the purchase of cotton. He said he would instruct Yugoslav Minister at Washington to negotiate. Minister for Foreign Affairs subsequently confirmed the foregoing.
