Have just been received in my first official audience by Polish Minister for Foreign Affairs Zaleski who expressed his profound gratitude to you for having left me accredited to the Polish Government. Since my arrival in Poland Zaleski as President of [Polish-] American Chamber of Commerce and I have enjoyed close friendly relations. I now have every reason to believe that our relations will continue to be of the most friendly and frank character. [Biddle.]
