127. Department’s 52, March 7, 2 p.m. Besides the appointment of Kung as chairman of the committee the Government’s mandate of February 28 also designated the following persons as committee members: T. V. Soong, Foreign Minister Chang Chun, Minister of Communications Ku Meng Yu, Minister of Railways Chang Kia Ngau, Minister of Industries Wu Ting Chang, Minister of Education Wang Shih Chieh, Yeh Chu Tsang (Secretary General of the said committee of the Central Executive Committee) and Chiang Ting Fu (director of the Political Affairs Department of the Executive Yuan).
The Department’s telegram has been repeated to Nanking and Shanghai with the request that the matter be given the close attention of those two offices.
