780. A draft decree designed to regulate the moving picture industry in France is now under study and may at any time be promulgated. Although the measure is one of internal control, some of its provisions would materially affect the American film industry in France. In the event that the Department is approached by American interests, it may care to know that a full report on the subject goes forward in the Embassy’s pouch of September 13.33
