79. You are requested to inform the Belgian Foreign Office that the Department will oppose no objection to the proposed quota as described in your 93, November 25, 5 p.m. Please mention at the same time that the Department views with some concern the Belgian tendency to impose trade restrictions the trade agreement notwithstanding and hopes that the Belgian Government will not feel compelled further to extend the quota system.36
