Department’s telegram No. 51, July 25, 2 p.m. The Haitian Government today accepted $10,400 as full restitution by Johnson for bribes received from Zrike Brothers and released him on his own cognizance. It is understood that both Johnson and Zrike Brothers are still liable to prosecution on criminal charges. It is not known whether the Government intends to institute such prosecution.
