The Secretary of State to the Canadian Chargé ( Wrong )

Sir: I am in receipt of your note Number 66 of April 27, 1931 expressing the desire and hope of the Canadian Government that the Government of the United States may see its way clear to participate in the Conference of Wheat Exporting Nations which will assemble on May 19, 1931, in London at Canada House under the chairmanship of the High Commissioner for Canada in Great Britain.

In reply I have to inform you that this Government accepts the invitation of the Canadian Government and that representatives of the United States will be designated in the near future to attend the Conference.

I have requested the American Ambassador in London to bring the foregoing informally to the attention of the High Commissioner for Canada in London.
