50. Reports Department has received through Near East Relief indicate that Turkish authorities have ordered deportation to interior of 4,500 refugees now at Mersina, in case arrangements are not made for their immediate departure from that port.
See Department’s 44, March 16, 7 p.m. regarding refugees in Constantinople and submit prompt telegraphic report regarding situation there and at other Turkish ports.
