[Translations]
Department of State would be much pleased if the Government of Nicaragua would use its good offices toward a friendly settlement of the differences between Aguilar Barquero, “Designado” in charge of [Page 862] the Executive Power of Costa Rica and Acosta, by endeavoring to have the latter’s forces enter San José without arms so as to avoid any possible conflict and smooth the situation.
