Sir: With reference to your note No. 356 of the 9th instant, making further suggestions with regard to the draft Convention between Great Britain and the United States relative to the sockeye salmon fisheries, I have the honour to inform you that I have received a communication from the Governor General of Canada representing [Page 228] that the two slight modifications suggested by you are acceptable to the Canadian Government.

The Canadian Government will be glad to learn when it is expected that the Draft Treaty will be ready for signature.
