No. 1502. Embassy’s 3001, October 22, 6 p.m., your 1723. We concur in the opinion expressed by you in your letter of September 19, No. 5418,1 that the total purchase should be considered as a whole and any part taken by any of the Governments or sold be considered [Page 1293] for the trio account. In other words, the proceeds of all resales should be pooled and divided equally among the three Associated countries. We assume the resale prices will be submitted for approval to the three Governments. We are now preparing a plan for handling the resales and will submit it to you shortly.
