The Minister in Sweden ( Morris ) to the Secretary of State

2342. In reference to my 2308, June 15, 5 p.m. and 2309, June 15, 6 p.m. Swedish Government is awaiting written reply from the Associated Governments that the agreement as ratified by Sweden is satisfactory. The Italian Minister has received word from his Government that same is satisfactory but to wait informing the Swedish Government until the other Allied representatives here did the same. The British Minister received word from his Government that the agreement having been signed in England with full powers by their delegates, no further action on their part is necessary after ratification by Swedish Government and has so informed the Swedish Foreign Minister. I am therefore awaiting authority from you regarding this matter and would call to your attention that the Swedish Government has been expecting to hear from me.
