3874. Department’s 2117, June 18, 6 p.m.1 Am informed that German black list no longer exists, officially having been withdrawn by German Government about two years ago. There is, however known to be a list of firms located in Switzerland to which permits to forward merchandise through Germany to northern neutrals are steadily refused by German Legation in Berne, but this list is strictly confidential and it is doubtful if it could be obtained.

- “Can you obtain copy German black list?”↩
