The Ambassador in France (Sharp) to the Secretary of State

[Telegram]

1094. Referring to my 1088, 9th.2 Foreign Office note just received states that technical committee sitting in Paris have examined list of pharmaceutical products of German manufacture submitted to them by this Embassy and after agreement with British Government it has been recognized that, with the exception of special tissue dyes, all other articles mentioned in the list may be found in France or Great Britain, either in an unmodified form or in the form of identical or equivalent products. Under these conditions it only appears possible to the French and British Governments to authorize the free transit of special tissue dyes.
