Managua, May 6, 1911.

The President of Nicaragua has to-day been authorized by the Assembly to negotiate with American bankers, through the good offices of the United States of America, a loan not exceeding $20,000,000 American gold. The Assembly also authorized the President to conclude, subject to ratification by the present Assembly, such treaties and contracts as may be necessary to secure the loan.
