A loan agreement with an Anglo-French-Belgian syndicate was signed yesterday by the Chinese Ministry of Finance for 150,000,000 francs; it is reported to be for ninety years at 96, with 4 per cent rebate, interest 6 per cent, to be converted to 5 per cent later. An advance is to be made within fourteen days, first issue in ninety days. Ratification by secret edict to-day is reported.
