Aguascalientes reports revolutionists held up train from Guanajuato to Silao and American conductor (name not given) was fatally [Page 921]shot; all passengers and employees maltreated. Also reports wrecking of train at Trapuato and killing of American engineer, Zachariah Farmer.
I am to-day advised by the representatives of American railway servants on Mexican National Railways that they would go out in a body on April 17. I believe efforts to save the situation Avill be unavailing. The said representatives have expressed to me their deep appreciation of the sympathetic attitude of this Embassy and of the Washington Government.
