As the Mexican National Railway refused to grant any of the demands of the American employees, these, amounting to from 700 to [Page 919]800, will strike on the 15th and leave their posts. I have used all my influence with the Government, the railways, and the men to prevent the crisis and am deeply disappointed that no good result has followed.
