Excellency: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your excellency’s note No. 224, of the 17th instant, informing the Department that one Pino Suárez is attempting to send an armed expedition from New Orleans to some place in Mexico, and that Ricardo Flores Magón has bought arms and ammunition in the Imperial Valley, and requesting that the attempts of these two men be frustrated.
In reply, I have the honor to inform your excellency that a copy of your note has been sent to the Attorney General, for appropriate action.
