The Secretary of State to the Mexican Ambassador.

On the 6th instant the Mexican Embassy addressed to the Department of State a memorandum stating that persistent rumors have reached Mexico that in some towns of Texas [etc.].

The Department of State has taken pleasure in sending copies of the memorandum from the Mexican Embassy to the Secretary of War and the Attorney General for their information.
