Sir: Referring to your letter of December 16, 1910,1 communicating to this Department the suggestion of the Mexican ambassador that a force be sent to Presidio, Tex., to arrest and disarm revolutionists who might cross the frontier at that place, I have the honor to inclose for your information a copy of a telegram of December 18, 1910, on the subject to the commanding general, department of Texas, and a copy of his response thereto.

State Department reports 200 revolutionists in vicinity Ojinaga pursued by Mexican troops. It is thought they may attempt to cross border near Presidio, Tex. Secretary War directs you proceed in this case under your previous instructions in case after investigation you deem any action necessary.
