Situation on border much exaggerated in papers. Discreet officers now at El Paso, Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Laredo have instructions to report by telephone or telegram. There is a decided impression current among people who are conversant with the situation in Mexico that the demonstrations along border are merely to draw attention of Mexican Government away from real points of danger, which they claim will be in the more settled centers of population.
