The Government, faithful in its duty of informing the people concerning the incident at Pedernales, advises that its commissioners returned on the 19th of this month without having been able to settle amicably the dispute existing between the two Republics. There has [Page 154] been drawn up by the commissioners of the two States the following report,1 which brings their mission to an end, and by which they have declared that they leave the matter to the decision of their respective Governments.
