Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your telegrama of the 17th instant, stating that the place where the recent troubles have occurred with regard to Italian laborers is Marion, N. C, and not Marion, Va.
In reply I beg to say that this information has to-day been communicated to the governor of North Carolina.
